Who Is Robin Ausbie? A Woman Built Through Resilience
When asked to describe herself, Robin Ausbie shared that she is a mother, grandmother, survivor, and overcomer.
Her journey has not been defined by the obstacles she faced, but by the strength she discovered while overcoming them.
“Robin Ausbie is an overcomer. Robin Ausbie is a survivor,” she shared during the interview.
Today, Robin uses her experiences to encourage others who may feel stuck, lost, or forgotten. Through Still Standing Foundation, she is creating a space where people can recognize their own strength and understand that their past does not determine their future.
Breaking the Cycle of Survival Thinking
One of the most powerful parts of Robin’s conversation was her discussion about survival thinking.
She explained that many people grow up learning behaviors and mindsets based on what they experienced around them. Those lessons may have helped them survive certain situations, but later in life, they may realize those same patterns are preventing growth.
Robin described this process as having to “unknow what I know.”
“For so many years, I was used to doing things a certain way because of survival,” Robin explained. “But then learning a different way and trusting God through the process became part of my healing.”
Breaking old habits and developing a healthier mindset became a major part of her transformation.
Faith, Healing, and Finding a New Direction
Robin Ausbie credits her faith and relationship with God as a major source of strength throughout her journey.
She shared that learning patience, trusting the process, and seeking guidance helped her move away from making decisions based only on survival.
“I learned to be patient. I learned to trust God. I learned to go without,” Robin said.
Her story highlights the importance of having support systems, mentors, and positive influences that help people navigate difficult seasons.
The Mission Behind Still Standing Foundation
Still Standing Foundation was created from Robin Ausbie’s own healing journey.
She explained that the name came during a season when she faced rejection, pain, incarceration, and major life challenges.
“I remember on my healing journey, and God gave me the name,” Robin shared. “When everything came against me, I was still standing.”
The foundation represents more than Robin’s personal story. It represents every woman and every person who has experienced hardship but continues to move forward.
The organization focuses on helping women impacted by the criminal justice system, individuals at risk, and members of the community who need encouragement, resources, and support.
Advocating for Women and Second Chances
Robin Ausbie openly shared that she is a product of a second chance.
Having experienced incarceration and personal struggles herself, she understands the importance of giving people opportunities to heal, rebuild, and create a new future.
“I believe people can heal. I believe God can restore,” Robin explained.
She believes second chances are essential because many people’s decisions are connected to trauma, circumstances, and survival experiences.
Her mission is to remind people that their mistakes do not erase their potential.
Supporting Youth Through Mentorship and Consistency
In addition to supporting women, Robin works closely with young people and advocates for stronger community involvement.
She believes one of the biggest things youth need is consistency.
“Show up. Be consistent,” Robin said when discussing how organizations can better support young people.
She emphasized that many young people are looking for someone who believes in them, encourages them, and refuses to give up on them.
Through her work, Robin has already witnessed positive changes, including young people earning their CDL licenses, going to college, and finding employment opportunities.
Creating Change Through Community Support
Robin Ausbie believes organizations, mentors, and community leaders must return to the foundation of showing up for others.
She reflected on a time when communities had more programs, mentors, and resources available for young people.
Her message to organizations like Still Standing Foundation and TLC Foundation is clear:
Be present. Be consistent. Continue serving.
She believes that even when young people push back, they still recognize the people who genuinely care.
“Even if they feel like giving up, they remember there is somebody out there who cares,” Robin shared.
The Future Vision of Still Standing Foundation
Looking ahead, Robin Ausbie sees Still Standing Foundation becoming a larger movement that reaches more women, youth, and communities.
Her goal is to continue creating opportunities that transform lives and remind people that hope still exists.
The foundation’s message is bigger than one person — it represents everyone who has faced challenges and decided to keep going.
Robin Ausbie’s Message: Keep Standing
As the interview came to a close, Robin left viewers with a powerful reminder:
No matter what life brings, keep going.
Your struggles do not define you. Your past does not limit your future. Healing is possible, growth is possible, and second chances are possible.
Robin Ausbie’s journey is proof that even after hardship, people can rise, rebuild, and use their experiences to help others.
Through Still Standing Foundation, Robin continues turning survival into purpose and creating a path for others to discover their own strength.
