Meet Roshonda Franklin, founder and CEO of Limitless Financial based in Little Rock, Arkansas, who has been helping hundreds of African American entrepreneurs nationwide over the last ten years get access to much-needed funding and capital. She is also a federally-authorized tax practitioner that helps with tax preparation, audits, collections, and appeals.
Roshonda says that she remembers as a teenager, her mom teaching her to prepare taxes with a pencil, paper and a calculator long before electronic filing ever was a thing. As a single mom of three amazing girls, in 2008 Roshonda began preparing taxes for others as a side hustle.
Prior to her side hustle, “Tax Preparation”, she worked for a large independent tax company, where she witnessed unsatisfied, disserviced, and overcharged clients daily. This was a vicious cycle that she grew tired of and wanted to create a better way to empower, equip and educate others.
In 2019, she became a Certified Tax Coach and an Enrolled Agent, at that time the doors of Limitless Financials, LLC were officially opened. The initial focus was tax preparation for coaches, consultants, therapists and small business owners.
However, as Limitless Financials, LLC blossomed, so did the need for other services. Along with tax preparation for small businesses, Roshonda saw the need to educate business owners on why they shouldn’t ignore business credit. Because of this, she has authored a free ebook, 4 Big Reasons You Can’t Afford To Ignore Business Credit, which is now available for download.
Roshanda coaches her clients with a strategic game plan that will produce business growth and continuous cash flow, without mixing funds as well as keeping their businesses audit-proof. As an Enrolled Agent, she is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who can represent clients in all 50 states before the IRS in cases such as audits, collections, and appeals.
Roshonda takes pride in advising black businesses on the importance of not overlooking business credit as well as helping free her clients of unwanted tax-related stress. This is why she has invested thousands of dollars in herself to help her clients reach their financial goals.
Guiding a client through reducing a $25k tax debt to $10k has been a career highlight for her. Also, during the height of the pandemic, the certified tax coach helped another client who had gone years without filing tax returns, who had also lost their job and had IRS threats of property and bank account liens. She was able to stop the collections and save the client’s property.
Being dedicated and committed to her clients, Roshonda and her firm have had clients for over 10 years and have built a huge clientele list from the referrals of others. She says that she “enjoys building relationships, serving, and being a resource to her clients.”
